• Great great grandma came over to New York from Ireland
• Red doesn't know her name because she doesn't see her grandma much
• Granny Rose is kinda the lorekeeper of their family
• Women in their line tend to be named after red things
• That's how you get Rose, Garnet and Ruby
• Garnet and Howard initially worked as collectors for a loan shark
• Wanted to start their own business
• Garnet and Howard failed to rob a bank and got arrested
• Still taught Red a few larceny skills
• Ruby was married to Jack Torres for a year
• They were really volatile because both of them were bombastic and energetic
• They divorced and Jack moved away with Drake
• Red moved in with Aunt Ruby when her parents got arrested
